Modern web development occasionally makes me want to throw a laptop into
Lake Koshkonong.
Frameworks.
Dependencies.
Tracking.
Popups.
Feeds.
Algorithms.
Infinite scrolling.
So I went backwards.
I started a real Gopher server.
gopher://gopher.nitetime.net
There is also a web gateway for people without a Gopher client:
https://gopher.nitetime.netText.
Menus.
Directories.
Links.
Information.
That's basically it.
And somehow it feels more like exploring the Internet than scrolling through
most modern websites does.
