Hello

Has anybody else ever heard of The Hello Man?

I am starting this thread because this is exactly the kind of weird local
story I want nitetime.ufo to collect. Not polished paranormal TV garbage,
not somebody trying to sell a book, just strange stories, half-remembered
sightings, things somebody's dad swore happened, and stuff that never quite
went away.

The name alone gets me: The Hello Man. Something standing where it shouldn't
be, late at night, near the lake or along a dark Wisconsin road, and the
only thing it does is acknowledge you.

If anybody has heard a story under that name, knows where it came from,
remembers a version of it, or has experienced something remotely similar,
post it here. Doesn't matter if you believe it or think it's complete
bullshit. I want the story.
